KNISPEL, ALLAN C. WATERTOWN Allan C. Knispel, age 80, passed away on Saturday May 5, 2012 at Watertown Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor John Boehringer officiating. Entombment will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 9 AM to 11 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church, would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at watertownwifuneralhome.com. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family. Allan was born on December 19, 1931 in Milwaukee and at a young age, he was adopted by George and Evelyn Knispel of Watertown. He was a 1945 graduate of St. John's Lutheran School and a 1949 graduate of Watertown High School. He attended printing school in Milwaukee and became an employee of WEPCO Printing in Watertown and also served in the Army National Guard with the 32nd Division Band in Madison. He was drafted into the regular Army during the Korean Conflict and served at Ft. Knox, Kentucky from 1952 to 54 and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Al returned to WEPCO Printing as a partner and was associated with the firm for over 40 years, until his retirement in 1997. He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Al loved to play golf and he was a member of Watertown Country Club for over 40 years and Watertown American Legion Post #189 for over 50 years. Survivors include a brother Ronald (Dorothy) Knispel of Stoughton, a sister Kristine Joers of Hartland, his much loved nieces Patti, Terri, Beth, Caryn, Julie and Mary and his "great" nephews Bill, Jeff and Doug, along with their wonderful families, other relatives and friends. Al is preceded in death by his birth parents, adoptive parents, a sister Delores (Frank) Pfeifer, a brother William (Charlene) Bohlman, Sr. a brother in law Kenneth Joers and his longtime business partner Roger Kressin.
