Ann Prahl

Ann Marie "Skip" Prahl of Watertown, age 85, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek. She was born on September 12, 1929 in Watertown, the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Bergh) Zoeller. Skippy married George Prahl on July 25, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa. She was an active member of First Congregational United Church of Christ. Skip sang in the choir for years and served the church in many other capacities. She was also a member of the Ladies of Elks; serving as past president three times. She had a love for music and was able to extend that devotion to the places she worked which included, Guyer Music and Warren Schey Music. Skip also enjoyed sewing and worked for Royce Fabrics. She also worked for Golden Living for many years as their bookkeeper.  She is survived by her husband of 66 years, George; two daughters, Georgia of Watertown and Nance' of SanTan Valley, Arizona; as well as a son, Richard of Mineral Point; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Colleen Walther and Isola Nelson; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.   Skip was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Irene Zoeller; two brothers, Joseph Zoeller, Jr. and Commander Herbert Zoeller and four sisters, Myrl Zoeller Pauli, Joan Zoeller Weihert, Elaine Zoeller and Alice Zoeller.   A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 am with Pastor Stephen Welch presiding. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Those wishing to express sympathy through memorials may direct them to the Congregational Church UCC or to Rainbow Hospice.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the loving and dedicated medical staff involved in Skip's wellness, and healing.
