Antoinette Schuster

Marshall - Antoinette F. "Neddy" Schuster, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on November 12, 1930 in Ashton, WI the daughter of William and Josephine (Kalscheuer) Maly. Neddy was the youngest of 11 children and a loving and caring farm wife and mother. She was an active member of Holy Family Parish in Marshall and sang in the choir and "Nunsense". She devoted her life caring for others including her husband, 7 children and 15 grandchildren and even her mother while she was in high school. She was a member of the Prairie Chicks Homemakers and supported her children for 20 years in the Happy Hikers 4-H club. For decades she had a very large vegetable garden protected by her fashionably dressed scarecrow. Neddy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eugene "Gene" Schuster of Marshall; 7 children, Sue (Paul) Miller, David (Ruth), Linda (Jon) Minor, Michael (Lisa), Steve (Beth), Karen and Bev (Chris) Speece; grandchildren, Melissa and Amanda Miller, Jason, Caleb, Crystal and Thurston Schuster, Ryan Schuster, Seth Barden, Brenan Barber and Sophia, Cecilia, Isabele, Clare, Monica and Genevieve Speece. She is further survived by her sisters, Viola Kaltenberg and Ethel Ballweg, and one brother, Norman (Lorraine) Maly and a sister-in-law Esther Maly and other relatives.. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Julia (Ambrose) Meinholz, Anna (Werner) Kessenich, Rosina (Herbert) Ballweg and Josephine (Leo) Greiber; brothers, Herbert (Eleanor) Maly, Roman Maly and Walter (Evelyn) Maly and brother-in-laws, James Kaltenberg and Alfred Ballweg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 11:00 am at HOLY FAMILY PARISH/ST. MARY OF THE NATIVITY, 120 S. BEEBE ST., MARSHALL, with Father Jorge Miramontes presiding. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. A private burial will be held at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all special and caring staff at St. Mary's Hospital cardiac unit and emergency services.
