David Wayne Ray, 39, of Jefferson, passed away on July 19, 2026, at his home due to unexpected health complications.

David was born on November 19, 1986, in El Dorado, Arkansas, the beloved son of Sharon Coleman (Steve) and David Russell Ray (Tammy).

David worked at Electronic Technologies Inc. in Fort Atkinson, WI. When he wasn’t at work, David was known for his humor and his ability to make those around him smile and laugh. He was an adventurous man who always wanted to try new things with curiosity. David had a kind heart and loved those around him. He grew to love his pets and liked spending time with them. He enjoyed history and sharing it with his friends and family. David's life and laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Though he has left us too soon, his legacy will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

David was preceded in death by his stepfather Stephen Paul Coleman, who played an important role in his life, and by his grandmother Zella (Betty) Ray.

David is survived by his parents and loving grandparents, Jimmy and Nancy Moore of El Dorado, AR. whose love and guidance shaped him into the individual he was. A son that he cherished, Jayden Ray, Jayden’s mother Christina and brother Logan of Watertown, WI. His sister Stevie Marie Tarver, two nephews, Jordan and David of El Dorado, AR. And his life partner Kara Brooks of Jefferson, WI. Their relationship was a testament of partnership providing each other with strength and joy through their journey. David leaves behind many other friends and family members he cherished deeply.

No service will be held, as the family requests to celebrate David's life and honor his memory in private.

The family extends their gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. David's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
