Diane M. “Sweet Pea” Kube, 76, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at The View in Johnson Creek.
Diane was born on December 11, 1949, in Madison, the daughter of Paul and Lillian (Rolland) Weibel. She married the love of her life Robert Kube on November 30, 1974, and the couple enjoyed 51 wonderful years of marriage. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and worked for over 22 years with Kwik Trip. In her free time, she loved attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, she was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, enjoyed early morning jobs, and was known for her famous potato salad, and was great caregiver for her family and friends’ children. Above all she found great joy in spending time with her family and friends.
Diane is survived by her husband Robert, children Lynsey (Scott) Wolfgram, Morgan (Larry) LaBarge, grandchildren Breanna, Tyler, Lily, and Isabella. Siblings Darlene Weibel, Donna Ireland, Robert (Cindy) Weibel, Richard (Denise) Weibel, Doreen (Jeff) Buntrock, Dorothy (Brian) Solveson, Randolph “Max” (Joylyn) Weibel, sisters-in-law Jill Kube, Rosanne Weibel, and Cyndi Weibel. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Roger and Ronald, brother-in-law Robert Ireland, and nephews, Jacob Weibel, Christopher Ireland, and Craig Ireland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Fr. David Drefcinski presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.
The family would especially like to thank the staff at The View and Rainbow Hospice for the care and compassion given to Diane.
