Donald L. Beerbohm, 85, of Johnson Creek, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday December 5, 2025.
Don was born on April 27, 1940, in Watertown, to William Sr. and Bernice (Wright) Beerbohm. Don graduated from Watertown High School, served in the US Navy from 1960 – 1964, then worked for Wilke Electric until his “retirement.” He married the love of his life, Zona, on July 1, 1989, and the couple enjoyed 36 wonderful years of marriage. After their retirement, Don & Zona lived in their motorhome for 12 years, traveled the United States, and worked as Workampers. Don took pride in doing maintenance and building things for the campgrounds that they worked at. While working at the Jefferson County Fair Park, Don built the judges stand in the outdoor draft horse arena completely out of materials that they already had at the fairgrounds. He worked hard, loved hard, and was always willing to help, leaving a mark on everyone he met. In his free time, Don loved to gun and bow hunt, read, and do woodworking projects. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Don is survived by his stepchildren Clint Cutsforth, Juanita (James) Sell, Roger (Lisa) Cutsforth, step grandchildren Callie Smillie, Patrick (Amy) Cutsforth, Andrew (Amanda) Cutsforth, Tyler Cutsforth, and Amber (Dalton) Utz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zona Beerbohm, parents, and siblings.
A special thank you to his neighbors Kathy, Mike, and Shannon, his caregiver Katrice Grimm, Karissa and the other nurses at Agrace Hospice, and his CNAs Heather and Tatum for helping us through this journey.
