Donald Leu

LEU, DONALD  F. WATERTOWN    Donald F. Leu, age 85. Passed away on Monday October 31, 2016, at his home.   Donald Francis Leu was born in Fond du Lac on December 5, 1930, the son of Frank and Florence (Lepine) Leu. He served in the US Army and was discharged in 1952. On October 13, 1951, he married the former Mary Ann Korber in Milwaukee and she preceded him in death on June 1, 1990. On January 1, 1993, he married Audrey Marks and she preceded him in death on May 12, 2015 .Don had been employed at Interstate Drop Forge in Milwaukee as a machinist for 41 years. After his retirement in 1993, he and his second wife Audrey, moved to Tomahawk, until 2015 when she passed away. He moved to Watertown to be closer to his family. He was a member of the Tomahawk American Post # 318. Don loved to hunt and fish, he was an avid Packers, Badgers, Brewers and former Milwaukee Braves fan. He enjoyed drawing and carving wooden decoys and he had a very dry sense of humor. Don's family was very important to him, he is survived by his children Don (Bonnie) Leu, Cheryl Leu and Ken (Michelle) Leu, grandchildren Ken Leu, Jennifer (Joe) Roberts, Nick (Tina) Leu, Travis (Fawn) Leu, Laura (Jacob) Ladwig, Anna (Mike) Elack and Chris Wright, nine great grandchildren, a sister Audrey (Michalowski a brother Richard (Nancy) Leu, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further preceded in death by his parents, a brother Marvin Leu, a sister Ruth Ann Beagan and brothers in law Fred Michalowski and Ted Korber. A prayer service will be held on Friday November 4, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Father Patrick Wendler of the Watertown Catholic Parishes officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Family burial with Military Graveside Rites will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Sussex, at a later date. The family wishes to thank Rainbow hospice for their help and compassionate care during Don's illness.
