Donald J. Peirick, age 70, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Watertown Regional Medical Center. Don was born in Watertown, Wisconsin on July 7, 1955, the son of Clarence and Gertude (Byrne) Peirick. He grew up the only boy with six sisters which only challenged him to be more creative with the pranks he pulled.
Don graduated from Watertown High School in 1973. After high school, he attended Farm and Industry Short Course at UW-Madison, returning home to take the position of CFO (Cow Foreman & Overseer) on the family farm, eventually taking over the business in 1986.
On September 8, 1979, he married LuAnn Neumann at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Beaver Dam. Don and LuAnn recently celebrated their 46th anniversary. They lived and worked at the family dairy farm while raising two children, Lynn and Brian. Don milked cows for over 40 years. He was proud of and dedicated his life to being a helpful neighbor, a good father, and not having his cows get loose too often.
Don never took life too seriously and was always ready with a joke or funny line. He was a member of the Universal Co-op Board of Directors in Lebanon, WI, and served as Secretary for 30 years. He was also a member of Turner Hall in Watertown, tending bar for many weddings and events. Don enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and cheering for the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers. Most of all, he loved chatting with friends and family, exchanging stories and jokes.
Don is survived by his wife LuAnn of Watertown; his daughter, Lynn of Delavan; his son, Brian of Milwaukee; six sisters, Jean (David) Braun of Livermore, CA, Ann of Milwaukee, Carol (Michael Rodriguez) of Middleton, Lois (Lee) Weyers of New Berlin, Irene (Michael) Steinl of Waunakee, and Julie (Bryan) Wood of Wauwatosa, as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Gert, parents-in-law Lloyd and Orva “Old-Lady” Neumann, and in-laws Pat and Diane Burk.
