Donald C. Wolter

Donald C. "Donny" Wolter, 73, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at Watertown Regional Medical Center.

Donny was born August 12, 1952, in West Bend, the son of Everette and Louisa (Pelkey) Wolter. He was a proud United States Marine, Donny dedicated part of his life to serving our country with honor.

He found joy in the simple pleasures—long drives through the countryside with his good buddy Jerry Schroedl, savoring a cocktail, cookouts, and most importantly, spending quality time surrounded by family and friends. In Donny's earlier years, he enjoyed bowling and participating in team softball. He was an avid Packers fan who never missed watching a Sunday game. 

Donny is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Shannon "Shanno" (Justin) Ready; grandchildren Bradley Wolter, Ryan (Nique) Wolter, Breyana Wolter, Nathan (Calynn Uttech) Dittberner, Rochelle (CJ) Synowicz, and Startasia Ready; close family friends and caregivers Emily Hady and Nitascha Saxby; brother Doug (Marie) Wolter; sister Debbie Rohloff; and great-grandchildren Anahlyana Davies, Gracy Moore, Callen Synowicz, Rayn Wolter, Davis Bellomy-Wolter, Kyla Synowicz, and Oakley Dittberner, along with many other beloved relatives and friends. Donny was 'Gpa' to everyone who came over. 

Donny was preceded in death by his parents, as well as brother David Wolter, and beloved son-in-law Corey Dittberner.

A Friends and Family Gathering will be held at on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home of Watertown.
