Doris I. Ihde

Doris I. Ihde, 91 of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Watertown, passed away on July 27, 2024 in Arkansas. 

Doris was born February 26, 1933, the daughter of Ernest and Laura (Eggert) Borck. She said that she had thought she was poor while growing up on a farm, but came to realize the wealth in the home grown produce and fresh eggs and milk that was available right where she lived. On September 16, 1951, Doris married Donald Ihde at the original St. Luke’s of Watertown. She began her married life living in Alaska where her husband was stationed in the army. After that the two started a family in Watertown and later moved their family to Waukesha. She and her husband spent a long retirement in Bella Vista. She was devoted to her faith and a proud member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran in Bella Vista.

Doris is survived by her husband Donald, children Steven (Sue) Ihde, Debra (Charles) Guthrie, James Ihde, and Joel (Laurie) Ihde, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and sister Laurita (Richard) Radtke. One grandchild preceded her in death. 

Doris was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Mel, and sister Lucille (also known as “Chuck”). 

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at St. Luke’s of Watertown with Rev. Anthony Schultz and Rev. Justin Cloute presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Doris will be laid to rest at Richwood Cemetery following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Doris’s name to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 14070 AR-279 Hwy, Bella Vista, AR, 72739, would be appreciated by the family.
