Earl Smith

Earl J. Smith age 89 of Watertown passed away on Thursday, May 18th surrounded by his family. Earl was born on April 28, 1928 to Joseph and Nellie (Fleming) Smith in the town of Erin. On May 19, 1956 Earl married Donna A. Maass and together they dairy farmed their whole lives until retirement. Earl, a lifelong farmer in the town of Emmet loved visits with family and friends and especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge about his passion, farming. He was also a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church, Watertown. Earl is survived by his wife beloved Donna of 60 years. Dear dad of Margaret Smith and Christine (Scott) Lischka. Proud grandpa of Benjamin Earl Lischka, Abbigail Rose (Todd Brown) Lischka. Also survived by son in law Dan Ireland, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Earl was the last member of his immediate family being preceeded in death by parents and siblings Loretta, William, Harold, Everett, Gertrude, Helen and MaryJoan. Memorials to Rainbow hospice or charity of choice appreciated. Visitation at Schmutzler Vick Funeral & Cremation Service, Watertown on Wednesday from 6PM until 8PM with a rosary at 7:30 PM and again at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Watertown on Thursday from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11AM. Interment private.
