Elizabeth E. McLaughlin

Elizabeth “Betty” E. McLaughlin, 90, of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Park Ridge in Watertown.

Betty was born on April 17, 1935 in New London, WI the daughter of Jeremiah and Clara (Schaefer) Egan. She married the love of her life Richard McLaughlin on November 28,1959 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lebanon, WI. Betty was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic church. She enjoyed playing Bridge, baking and cooking. Betty was known for her sweet and salty personality. Whenever you would see Betty she was always dressed to impress. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Survivors include: children Theresa Dircks, Michael (Dana) McLaughlin and Jennifer (Eric) Udvare; grandchildren Thomas, Reese and Sydney; siblings John (Karen) Egan and Geraldine Jorgenson. Betty is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Jim, Tom, Marlene, Jane and Pat.

The family would like to thank the staff of Park Ridge for all their care and compassion given to Betty.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 18, 2026 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church with Fr. David Drefcinski presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery.
