Francis Keiner

Marshall - Francis Robert Keiner, age 90, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Belmont Nursing and Rehab. He was born on April 29, 1924 in Marshall, the son of Irvin and Meta (Parr) Keiner. Francis was a Marshall High School graduate in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II and a proud member of the American Legion Post #279 in Marshall. Francis worked for the township of Medina for 2 years then was employed at Nagal Hart (Fabco) for 34 years until his retirement in 1984. He married Caroline D. Raether on May 16, 1952. They were able to spend 29 years together before her passing on August 18, 1981. Caroline's parents were Emil and Dora (Bunke) Raether of Marshall. Francis is survived by his son, Dennis F. Keiner of Marshall; five daughers, Susan (Roland) Hensler, Cheryl (David) Kiersten, Sandra Keiner, Karen Schimmel all of Marshall and Linda (Rich) Bindl of Spring Green; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Glenn Keiner; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven M. Keiner on May 15, 1977 and grandson, Michael Kiersten on August 14, 2009. A funeral service will be held at HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 605 Madison St., Marshall on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 11 am with Pastor Paul Anderson presiding. Burial to follow with military honors at Medina Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 10 am on Friday at the church until the time of service. Those wishing to express sympathy through memorials may direct them to the family.
