Frederick Klentz

Fredrick (Fritz) L. Klentz, Sr. passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 22, 1945 in Beaver Dam, WI to LeRoy and Sophia (Yerges) Klentz. He attended school in Reeseville, WI graduating in 1963. Fredrick enlisted in the U.S. Army 4 days after graduation serving until after a tour in Vietnam in 1965. On October 5, 1968 he married Jean Roithschadl. Together, they had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. They were blessed with three sons, Fredrick, Jr., Robert (Tracy), and Jeffrey (Jen). He loved his children very much and enjoyed hunting and fishing with them. When he was no longer able to go with them, he lived through their stories of the ‘big fish that got away' or living through their eyes on the hunt for the ‘big one'. He enjoyed spending time with all his family. Fredrick loved his grandchildren and step grandchildren, Bobby, Claryssa, Dalton, Cynthia, Austin, Alexandria, and Christian Klentz, Jai'Lyn Draeger, Jasmine and Taylor Dolske and his great grandchild, Aiden Blazier. He loved his dogs, Maggie and Sadie and cats Skeeter and Munchkin. Fredrick is further survived by his brother Harold (Donna), his sister Janice (LeRoy) Kreier, his sister-in-law Pat Heller and his brother-in-law Roger (Heide) Rothschadl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their spouses. Fredrick was preceded in death by his parents, his wife's parents, his brother-in-law, Charles (Chuck) Heller and his brother-in-law Allen Rothschadl. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Watertown from 10:00 -11:00 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM with Chaplin Ray Bezanson presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
