Frederick Wegner Sr.

Frederick Theodore Wegner, Sr., 85, passed away at Heritage Homes on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Frederick was born in Milwaukee on January 13, 1932. He met and fell in love with Joan Anita Reynolds and married her on November 13, 1954 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. They would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary next month. Frederick worked as a steamfitter for 35 years and was a member of local 601 for 60 years. His hobbies included woodworking, especially with oak and stain glass. In his later years he enjoyed painting, particularity barns. He was also very active in Scouting and 4-H. Frederick will be missed by his wife, Joan, daughter Gloria (Randy) Marohl of Marshall, sons Martin (Tera) of Racine and Paul (Ansley) of Apex, North Carolina. He was also blessed with any grandchildren that will miss Grandpa; Marlaina, Lillian, Chloe, Alanna, Hudson and Duncan. Frederick also has a sister, Dorothy Seramur of West Bend and a special family Michael (Brenda) Kujawski and children, grandchildren" Katherine, Jennifer, Mary, Paul of Watertown, along with many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death his son, Frederick Theodore Wegner, Jr., his parents, Ernest and Grace, 2 sisters, a brother, 2 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. Visitations for Mr. Wegner will be held at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Saturday, October 28th, 2017, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. A service will be held at 11:30 A.M. with Military Funeral Honors to follow. Private burial will be held at a later date at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens, Sun Prairie.
