Helen Hine

Helen Hine, age 93, of Watertown, passed away on March 13, 2018 at the Dycora Transitional Health in Watertown. Helen was born on June 21, 1924, in Portage, Wisconsin, daughter of George M. and Lillian C. (Bresnan) O'Malley. She graduated from Columbia County Normal School and the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. Her teaching career began at Oak Hill, a one room country school near Portage, Wisconsin and she completed her 34-year teaching career at the Spruce Street School in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Helen will be missed by her daughter, Mary Driver of Watertown, sons Patrick (Virginia) Duffy, of Elgin, Illinois, Daniel Duffy of Delavan, Wisconsin, grandchildren Dan and Jeanne Duffy of Elgin, Illinois, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hine was preceded in death by her husbands, George Duffy and Harold Hine, her parents, a sister Evelyn (Harold) Vik, brothers Gordon (Dorothy) O'Malley, Fritz (Mary) O'Malley. A visitation will take place on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 110 Church Street, Watertown, Wisconsin from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow with Parochial Vicar, Fr.
