Hugh J. Wildish, 65 of Slinger, passed away on November 10, 2023, at the Aurora Medical Center of Grafton.
Hugh was born on February 11, 1958, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Hugh and Beulah (Clinton) Wildish. On December 27, 2012, Hugh was united in marriage with Grace Mangubat in the Philippines. Hugh dedicated himself to serving as a pastor in the ministry, and brought comfort and guidance to those in need. His faith and compassionate nature touched the lives of many individuals. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Hugh enjoyed driving trucks later on in his career. This change allowed him to explore new horizons while keeping close connections with people from various walks of life. Family was at the center of Hugh's world; their happiness and well-being were his top priorities. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones and the memories they made. Outside of his professional pursuits and family life, Hugh enjoyed playing the guitar, riding motorcycles, and traveling. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Hugh is survived by: his wife Grace Wildish; daughters Jessica (Zach) Tousey Schmidt, Alicia (Jesse Groeler) Ellerby, Michelle (Ryan Nagle) Ritter, and Angela Wildish; grandchildren Tyler, Jadyn, Cassandra, Nisa, Autumn, Michael, Julia, Hannah, Olivia, Hadyn, Evelyn, Mercedes, and Max; great-grandchildren Elliott, Laela, Andre, and RaeLynn. Hugh is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
Hugh is preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Kurtz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Schlesser-Groeler Family Barn, located at W6667 Silver Creek Rd, Watertown, WI, 53098.
