James Henze

HENZE,  JAMES  L. WATERTOWN     James L. Henze, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 1, 2015 at UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Pactrick Wendler celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call to pay their respects on Tuesday from 10 AM to 1 PM at the church. Online condolences may be left at svfuneralhome.com. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family. James Lee Henze was born on August 29, 1958 in Watertown, the son of Kenneth and Eunice (Miller) Henze. Jim was a 1976 graduate of Watertown High School. On August 2, 2003 he married the former Carolyn Grunewald at their home. Jim had been employed by the City of Watertown Street Department for 19 years and then started his own concrete business. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed taking walks in the woods with family and friends, working on projects with all of his grandkids, giving them all lawnmower rides as requested by each of them, and teaching them the basics of baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed the seclusion of  his dream home in the woods that he built for the family to all enjoy. And he never forgot to turn the "Barn Show" on at 5:00.He will be deeply missed.  Jim is survived by his wife Carolyn, his children Eric (Kim) Henze and Amy (Jesse) Medina, his step children Daniel (Lindsay) Atkinson, Alex Atkinson (Tim Stankey),  grandchildren Anthony, Chelsy, Jackson, Kaden, Isabella, Auston, Ingrid and Wayne, his brothers Patrick (Mary Kay) Henze, Butch (Kathy) Henze and Tom (Cathy) Henze. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, his dogs Nikka and Stella.  Jim is preceded in death by his parents,  his Aunt Rita and Aunt  Marion.
