James Klinger

KLINGER, JAMES B. WATERTOWN James, B. Klinger, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 11, 2013, at his home. Born February 4,1946 to LaVerne and Marguarite (McHugh) Klinger, James was always quick to share a laugh and a joke with those around him. He loved spending time in his shop fixing radiators and gas tanks as part of his business, Jim's Gas Tank and Radiator repair. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Jefferson Meats for 37 years. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and showing them at area shows, including the Jefferson County Fair. In his younger days, James was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and snowmobile and was very active in the JC Riders Snowmobile club. He also served as a mechanic on a snowmobile racing team and loved to cheer for the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. James was also proud of serving in the National Guard. James is the loving and supportive husband to Hedy Charlene Jenkins, whom he married on May 7, 2004. He is survived by his daughters Shannon (Jim) Cooper and Jamie (Charles) Klinger-Krebs and step children LaChere Wilson-Price and Robert Rollins. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Kyle Blakey, Eddie Cooper and Charley Krebs. He is further survived by his brother and sisters Michael (Nancy) Klinger, Susan (Dennis) Roberts, Joan (Robert) Doebereiner and Jean (William) Rudolph, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Father Jorge Miramontes celebrating. Family burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, at a later time. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
