James Schneider

James Schneider, age 92 of Watertown, died on November 13, 2012 after a short illness. James farmed in Rock County for most of his life. He was born on April 13, 1920 in Hampshire, IL to Mabel Ann (Dow) and Henry Schneider. He married Gladys Sabin on December 31, 1941. James and Gladys moved to Wisconsin to farm in 1959 and were involved with agriculture his entire life. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Gladys Schneider of Watertown; children, Carl (Gladys) Schneider of Milford, MI, Richard (Kim) Schneider of Orfordville, Donna (Dale) Staude of Watertown and Diane (Phil) Austin of Catoosa, OK; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and sister, Mabel (Sally) Allen of Seward, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, H. Warren Schneider and two sisters, Eleanor Bennett and Ruth Zenk. A memorial service will be held at Emerald Grove Congregational Church, 8127 Hwy 14, Janesville on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at the Emerald Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
