Jean E. Klentz

Jean E. Klentz, 78, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson.

Jean was born on April 29, 1948, in Watertown, the daughter of Thomas and Esther (Schroeder) Rothschadl. She married the love of her life Fredrick Klentz Sr. on October 5, 1968, and the couple enjoyed 49 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. She loved her dogs: Troubles, Nipper, Mindy, Molly, Maggie, Casey, and her favorite Sadie and her cats: Ginger, Whiskers, Sassy, Twilight, Spunky, Skeeter, and Munchie. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, and fishing on Rock Lake. Above all, her passion in life was spending time with her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her children Fredrick Klentz Jr., Robert (Jennifer) Klentz, Jeff (Jen) Klentz, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, special grandson Austin, and her sister Patricia Heller. She is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Fredrick, and siblings Alan and Roger.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9:30am until the time of service.
