John Rowoldt

Watertown - John H. Rowoldt, age 81, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1932 in Milford, the son of Edwin and Catherine (nee Drost) Rowoldt. John attended schools in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. He worked at Dresser Industries in Waukesha, retiring in 1994. John was an avid bowler, having bowled with the Schaefer Soft Water Team for 54 years. He loved to golf and loved watching the Packers and Bucks. John is survived by his wife, Holly (nee Lawrence) Rowoldt; four sons, Michael (Lisa) Rowoldt of Watertown, Larry (Julie) Rowoldt of Oconomowoc, Todd (Laura) Rowoldt of Watertown and Pat (Sandy) Rowoldt of Watertown; two daughters, Terry (John) Munzel and Lynn (Daryl) Frederick both of Watertown; and two step-sons, Timothy (Kelley) Simpson of Dallas, TX and Andrew (Amanda) Simpson of Jefferson. He is further survived by two brothers, Vernon (Nancy) of Janesville and Lawrence (Sandy) of Bessemer, MI; sister, Janice (Fred) Tschan of Altoona, WI; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife and mother of his 6 children, Sylvia (nee Sterwalt) Rowoldt and sister, Darlene (John) Waterworth. According to John's wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial gathering will be held at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 pm. A private family burial will be held at Glenview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Rainbow Hospice.
