BUSS, JOYCE D. CAMBRIDGE Joyce. D. Buss, age 83, passed away on Friday March 21, 2014 at Fort Health Care. A memorial service will held be on Wednesday at 6 PM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at svfuneralhome.com. Joyce D. Backhaus was born on April 7, 1930 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Robert W. and Kathryn (Jaeger) Backhaus. On October 18, 1962, she married Roger R. Buss in Rockford, Ill. Joyce had been employed at J. C. Penney in Watertown and Sears in Rockford. She had been a volunteer in a soup kitchen in Rockford. Joyce enjoyed spending time at the lake with her children and grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her husband Roger, children Randall (Diana) Lindemann, Laurie Dittmar, Gay Reese and Brian (Bonnie) Buss; grandchildren Justin (Gina) Lindemann, Nathan (Brenna) Lindemann, Rob (Katey) Higgins, Holly Dittmar, Kaitlyn Dittmar, Clintin Firari and Bailey Reese, great grandchildren Grace, Owen and Liam, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
