Kenneth O. Kjer, 82, of Watertown, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown.
Kenneth was born on June 11, 1943, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, the son of Oscar and Evelyn (Norenberg) Kjer. He dedicated his life to public service as a police officer for the cities of New Hope and Lino Lakes, MN, and later as a private investigator for the state of Wisconsin. Kenneth earned a PhD in Business and was known to always have to be right, a trait that added to his strong character. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished outdoor moments.
He is survived by his daughter Joan (David) Klugh, son Bryan (Allison) Kjer, grandchildren Jonathan, Amanda (Adam), Brittany (Casey), Christopher, and great-grandchildren AnaBelle, Hadley, Amelia, Breitlin, and Blaire, along with other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Memorial Park, 417 N 4th St, Tomahawk, WI 54487.
