Lucille Hackbarth

May 24, 1920 — February 7, 2014

Lucille O. Hackbarth, age 93 of Watertown, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Marquardt Health Center. She was born on May 24, 1920 in Hustisford, the daughter of John and Olive (Pitterle) Kraemer. Lucille attended St .Henry's grade school and was a graduate of Watertown High School. After high school she worked at F.W. Woolworth store. Lucille raised her 6 children and later worked at Bethesda Lutheran Communities for over 15 years. She was huge baseball fan and especially enjoyed following the Brewers and always knew the line-up. She was a life long member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Lucille was a devoted mother and grand mother. Her life was her family and she took pride in caring for them. Her family enjoyed Sunday visits at her home on Cady Street. Her spirit is carried on by her children, Kathy Kubly of Verona, Linda (Randy) Buss of Watertown, Teresa (John) Gerloff of Watertown, David Hackbarth of Milwaukee and John (Diane) Hackbarth of Watertown. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one sister, Dolores (Bill) Bauman of Winter Garden,Florida; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Olive Kraemer; daughter, Mary Ann and sister, Georgene Thompson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00 am with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert presiding. Burial to immediately follow at St. Henry Cemetery. A visitation will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday at church until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to St. Henry Church and School. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Zinzendorf Hall, Marquardt Health Center and Marquardt Hospice for their compassionate care and concern. God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:7
