Mabel A. Trapp

June 6, 1931 — June 30, 2025

Watertown

Mabel Ann Trapp (Schultz) 94 of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025.

Mabel was born to Lester and Helen Schultz on June 6, 1931. She grew up on the family farm in Pewaukee. Graduated from Pewaukee High School in 1949. Worked as a teller at Pewaukee State bank until 1957.

Mabel married Ralph Trapp July 20, 1957 at Trinity Evangelical Reformed Church in Brookfield. The proud farmers moved the family to their dairy farm in Watertown, WI in 1967. While working on barn chores it was not uncommon to see Mabel doing a Polka down the aisle with a bright smile on her face. Mabel was a true steward to the animals on the land from the small kittens to the neighboring fox family. Mabel was always ready to find a resourceful solution to any problem, a lot of which concluded with binder twine and tarps.

Mabel leaves a lasting legacy of her love of flowers and plants. She was just tickled when her question was printed in Bloom magazine. Long walks with the farm dogs or shorts walks around the barn with the cats was something Mabel enjoyed with her kids and grandkids.

Mabel is survived by her six children. Nancy (Charles) Kosanke, Alvin Trapp, Sally (Christopher) Kosanke, Franklin (Jammie) Trapp, Nola (Joe) Bishop, Alice Trapp. Her grandchildren Pamela Kosanke, Michael (Amanda) Kosanke, Lisa (Andrew) Werner, Travis (Caley) Kosanke, Trevor Kosanke, Samantha Kosanke, Wesley (Chelsea) Trapp, Beau Trapp, Bradley (Kelly) Trapp, Kaia-Marie Bishop, Courtney Bishop, James Bishop, Kathryn (Levi) Bixel. Mabel leaves behind eight great grandchildren Martha, Norman, Kelsea, Cade, Evelyn, Frederick, Sloan, Lincoln, and her brother Edward (Audrey) Schultz. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, parents, brother Harold Schultz, and sister Betty Jankowski.
