Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Haeger passed away on July 12, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving children.
Peggy was born on November 19, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI, to Clarence and Lillian (Bahr) Seymour. She attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Grade School and Messmer High School in Milwaukee.
On July 12, 1952, Peggy married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Haeger in Milwaukee at Holy Redeemer Church.
She was a member of St Henry’s Catholic Church for 60 years, serving as a parish council member and religious education teacher. Once her children were grown, Peggy worked at JC Penny’s in Watertown.
At a very young age Peggy started her love for music. She enjoyed playing the piano and attending musicals. Her favorite pass times were reading, mastering crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, and watching the hallmark channel.
Peggy’s greatest treasure was her family. She is survived by five sons, four daughters and 24 grandchildren: Robert (Cindy) of Hales Corners, Dr. Katie (Dr. Quintin) Sleigh, Emmalee (Mike) Salviski, Rob (Hillary) and Alex (Jenna); Mathew (Peg) of Janesville, Jessica (Michael) Margowski and Andy (Carla); Louise Sharpless of Appleton, Nick, Matthew, Annalise (Jeff) Buettner and Nathan (Jenny); Kristine (Mark) Peters of Watertown, Cory (Jessica) and Kay (Michael) Parham; Jennine (Clinton) Schildbach of Watertown, Megan (Nate) Demski, Hannah (Zach) Kassube and Lillie; Daniel (special friend Cindy Baker) of New London, Ben (Liz), Jenny (Mathew) Grasseschi and Erin; Michael (Maureen) of Germantown, Johnny (Cassie) Kohlbeck, Alex and Colin; Mary (Ron) Baumgarten of Reedsburg; and Christopher (Lelia) of Oak Creek, Edward, William and Michael. Her 27 great grandchildren: Pierce, Layla, Olivia, Morgan, Hendrix, Ivan, Cecilia, Reagan, Ainsley, Max, Archer, Avenly, Madelin, Louie, Odin, Mikey, Harper, Danny, Charlee, Nolan, Vaira, Bennett, David, Madigan, Wes, Simon, and Shaker.
Peggy is also survived by her loving brother and sister Jack Seymour and Sally Heintz, numerous nieces and nephews, along with her dear friend Marie Timmerman.
Peggy was greeted in heaven by her husband Bob, her parents and her son-in-law and 2 daughters-in-law, Frank (Finney) Sharpless, Julie Haeger and Kristi Haeger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at St Henry’s Catholic Church with Fr David Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
