Margie Amelia was born to Louis and Lucy (nee Reddemann) Petersen at home, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota on April 20, 1927. When she was a young girl, she stayed with her maternal grandparents to attend school. As a young teen, she had to quit school and work on the family farm with her father, when their hired hand went off to WWII. Her father died suddenly when she was 16 and she was heartbroken that her favorite workhorse, Gerry, had to be sold. Margie was elated to attend Mankato Community College for secretarial training. Her first job out of school was at the Northland Ski Company in St. Paul, MN. Margie married Arnold J. Mueller in Springfield, MN on March 2, 1947. In 1957 they moved to Watertown, WI and raised 6 children. She was very active in Jefferson County 4-H, the Lucky Clovers 4-H Club, and a volunteer tour guide at Bethesda Lutheran Homes. Margie had a servant's heart, volunteering at ALPHA Center, working for elections on election day, serving as president at St. Mark's Lutheran Ladies Aid, member of the Homemaker's organization and more. She loved baking and decorating cakes and making fantastic family celebrations. She is survived by her children, Dianne (Wayne) Vogt, Dawn Ehlers, Deb (John) Richter, and Randal J. (Beth) Mueller; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; Margie is survived by a loving brother, Richard Petersen, and his loving wife, Arliss, who she considered her sister. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews. Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Arnold J. Mueller; her second husband Henry "Hank" Eickelberg; sons, Edward Arnold Mueller and Richard Dean Mueller; and her dear sister, Ottie Prechel.
