Marguerite M. Hemiller, 80, of Watertown, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
Marguerite was born on May 6, 1945, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Donald and Christine (Acuff) Maceau. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Leo’s Church in Milwaukee, she was a graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee. Marguerite married the love of her life Ronald C. Hemiller on May 23, 1987, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown. She worked as a telephone operator, an LPN at Marquardt Manor, taught CNA’s, and finally worked at Walmart as a cashier and pharmacy technician. She also served on the board of the Watertown Humane Society and volunteered at the food pantry and free clinic.
Marguerite is survived by her children Lisa Caudle, William (Riza) Caudle, Tammera Bates, Robin (Tina) Hemiller, Christie Hemiller, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Hemiller, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, brother Donald Maceau II, and sister Susan (Dennis) Haas. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald Hemiller, and eldest son James Caudle Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown, with Rev. Anthony Schultz presiding. Visitation will take place from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and also on Monday at the church from 11:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
If desired, memorials in Marguerite’s name can be made to the Watertown Humane Society, Alpha Resource Center, or the Blue Butterfly.
