Mary Krueger

KRUEGER, MARY  LOU   WATERTOWN    Mary Lou Krueger, age 79, passed away on Sunday February 8, 2015 at Clearview Long Term Care Center in Juneau.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Pastor Stephen Welsh of First Congregational United Church Of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to11:00 AM at the funeral home.   The former Mary Lou Poppenhaggen was born on February 25, 1935 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Matthew and Lenora (Applequist) Poppenhaggen. On July 11, 1981 she married LaVerne Krueger at Concord United Methodist Church, he preceded her in death in 1995. Mary Lou had worked in the Randolph Schools Library and the Watertown Public Library in the children's area, for many years. She had been the former owner of Grandma B's Bakery inWinter, Wisconsin.   Mary Lou loved to garden, spend time with her grandchildren and family. She also loved making craft items for her family and reading to children.  Mary Lou is survived by her children Susan Petterson, Victor (Theresa) Petterson, Cathleen (David Uttech) Petterson, Donna (Steven) Smith and Karin (Mark) Jones, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a sister Sandra Bland, other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Brandon Rodriquez.
