Oren Soldner

SOLDNER, OREN W. WATERTOWN Oren W. Soldner, age 84, passed away on Monday July 11, 2011 at Highland House in Watertown. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor Karl Walther officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland. Family and friends may call on Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Online condolences may be left at watertownwifuneralhome.com. Oren was born on March 29, 1927 in the Town Of Lowell, the son of Gerhardt and Isabel (Beal) Soldner. On February 10, 1952 he married the former Bernice Riedeman at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Oren had farmed and hauled milk in the Reeseville area for many years and he had been employed by the former Steinhorst Egg Company of Watertown. He was a member of St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church. Oren enjoyed the company of his friends at the Nibble Nook and Hardee's and in his younger years he enjoyed roller skating. Survivors include his wife Bernice, a brother Calvin (Marion) Soldner of Beaver, a sister Eunice (Ralph) Whiting of LaCrosse; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family wishes to extend special thank you to the staff of Highland House for their excellent care and support.
