PORZKY, RICHARD WATERTOWN Richard Porzky, age 79, passed away on Saturday May 28, 2011 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Pastor Ray Bezanson of Watertown Advent Christian Church officiating. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. The service will be followed by a reception at the families home. Richard was born on June 13, 1931 in Furth, Germany, the son of Michael and Louise Porzky. He immigrated to America in 1952. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 56 in Special Services and he was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. On October 4, 1958 he married the former Ida Lou Lamb in Princeton, Kentucky. Richard had been employed at Lindbergs in Watertown, Wisconsin Oven Corp. in East Troy, Industrial Heat in Franklin and he was also self employed. He had been a member of the Watertown Tennis Association and the Old Timers Soccer Team. Survivors include his wife Ida, their children Michael (Liane) Porzky and Helen (Mike) Weihert, both of Watertown, grandchildren Kim Doyle and Kevin and Kyle Porzky, two sisters Anneliese and Erika Porzky of German. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
