Robert “Robbie” Bergmann passed away after a lingering illness, at Meriter Hospital in Madison on September 26, 2024, at the age of 54.
He was born April 20th, 1970, to Robert and Irene (Haustad) Bergmann in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School. He was a cook at Fairview following high school, then worked for Wisconsin Furniture and ZBM Cleaning, then ran the Café on the Park in Lake Mills for a few years, He also worked at Kendall Packaging in Jefferson for 10 years. His health then took a turn for the worse, and spent his time at home. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Rob is survived by his wife of 16 years Carol (Cowal) Bergmann, daughters Katrina and Amanda, 3 grandchildren, siblings Dale (Susan) Bergmann of Watertown, Evelyn Thom of Johnson Creek, Karen (Jeff) Draeger of Watertown, Mike (Bernadette) Bergmann of Milton, Florida, and Mark Bergmann of Illinois, father-in-law Roy Cowal, sister-in-law Virginia Cowal, and brother-in-law David Cowal. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, his dogs Mini and Stinky, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Debra Hady, mother-in-law Dorothy Cowal, and his dogs Brandy, Dillon, and Milo.
A celebration of life will take place at 2:00pm on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home. A friends and family gathering will be held from 1:00pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Watertown Humane Society or the family would be appreciated.
