Ruby Haydock

January 28, 1925 — October 18, 2012

HAYDOCK, RUBY E. Ruby E. Haydock, age 87, died on Thursday, October 18 at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison, WI. She resided at the Jefferson Retirement Community in Middleton for eleven months before she was moved to Agrace after suffering a stroke on September 17, 2012. Ruby was born on January 28, 1925 in Stevens Point, WI to Peter and Laura (Krefta) Kedrowski. She attended P.J. Jacobs High School, graduating in 1944. Ruby grew up with her two sisters, Sylvia and Isabelle and her six brothers, Robert, Donnie, Raymond, Mansworth, Ernie and Chester. Ruby married her first husband, Fred H. Ogden, on August 20, 1949, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Stevens Point, WI. During 33 years of marriage Ruby and Fred operated McConvill's Market on 4th Avenue N. in Wisconsin Rapids, until his death on April 17, 1982. They raised two children, Cindy and Randy. Ruby also worked in the office at the Doctors' Clinic with her dear cousin Marilyn "Peachy" Pavloski. On September 24, 1988 she married Leo P. Haydock at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown, WI. They traveled to many parts of the world and spent winters on Marco Island in Florida. She leaves behind her two children, Cindy and Randy, both of Middleton. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Laura Kedrowski, her first husband, Fred Ogden, her second husband, Leo Haydock, six brothers, two sisters, and two special family friends, Dianne Krekowski and Cleo Houston. Her life centered around loving and caring for her family. She enjoyed fun times with her bowling buddies Peachy, Judy, Fayette and Diane. Ruby loved decorating her home. We are so glad God gave us this wonderful woman to be our mom. Although her memory faded she never lost her gentle good nature and sense of humor. This sweet, gentle, immeasurably kind lady will never be forgotten. We will miss her beautiful brown eyes and that ‘giggle.' A visitation will be held at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. in Watertown, WI on Wednesday, October 24. A burial service will be held at 11 a.m. the following day, October 25, at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. A heartfelt thanks to the many staff and volunteers at Agrace HospiceCare for their comforting warmth and loving care given to our mother. A special thank you to Tauni Koch at the Jefferson Retirement Community for making her stay so enjoyable. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare of Madison, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.
