Shirley C. Pape

Shirley C. Pape, 88, of Watertown, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at The Marquardt in Watertown.

Shirley was born on March 14, 1937, in Nanticoke, PA, the daughter of John and Julia (Toporek) Vinarski. She married the love of her life David Pape on September 1, 1956, and the couple enjoyed 35 years of marriage before his passing in 1992. Shirley was a member of Promised Land Church in Watertown; she loved the Lord and loved her church family. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and bird watching. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her children Tim Pape, Jim Pape, and Christine Owens. She is further survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David, daughter Kathleen, and siblings Nikki, Penney, and Ray.

A memorial service will take place at Promised Land Church in Watertown at 11:00am on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
