Sylvia Stangler

Sylvia Ann Stangler, passed away suddenly at her home in West Allis, Wisconsin on Friday, March 23, 2018. Sylvia was born on October 27, 1948, the daughter of Eugene and Marcella (Berg) Stangler. Sylvia was a long-time member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown and St. Aloysius Catholic Church in West Allis, Wisconsin. She was an extremely dedicated to her religion and supported her church. She enjoyed Bible Studies and participating in Bible Study Groups. The Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family. Sylvia graduated from Watertown High School and the graduated from the Milwaukee County School of Nursing. She enjoyed working with elderly persons. Sylvia had numerous hobbies and especially enjoyed traveling where she visited the Holy Land, Czechoslovakia, Florida and even participated in life on a Dude Ranch in Michigan. Sylvia is survived by ten siblings, Suzy Dobke, Sam (Marlene) Stangler, Stanley (LaVonne) Stangler, Shawn (Kay) Stangler, Sherwin Stangler, Scott (Jean) Stangler, Sally (Mark) Othmer, Stuart Stangler, Sheldon (Marie) Stangler and Sterling Stangler, along with many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents a sister, Sharon R. Rothchadl, and a Brother-In-Law, Roger Dobke, A graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 @ 10:00 AM with The Very Reverend Patrick J. Wendler officiating. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 at St. Henry's Catholic Church. Relatives and friends my call from 9:30 A.M. up until the time of the service.
