William Hardtke

HARDTKE,  WILLIAM  W.WATERTOWN    William W. "Bill" Hardtke, passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Father Patrick Wendler officiating, from St. Henry Catholic Church. Family burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10 AM to 11 AM. Online condolences may be left at svfuneralhome.com. William Wesley Hardtke was born on February 15, 1933 in Watertown, the son of William and Phoebe Hardtke. He was a 1950 graduate of Watertown Senior High School. Bill had been a partner in Markl Auto Body for 35 years and had driven taxi for Watertown Transit for several years before retirement. Bill was a former member of the Watertown Moose Lodge. He loved to garden, play Uno, cheer for the Packers, play with several card clubs and have coffee with his friends at 9 AM at the Main Street Café.  Bill is the last member of his family, he is survived by his friend and former business partner, Francis Markl, his friends Terese Markl, John Markl, Bernadette (Jerome) Franckowiak, Tim (Pat) Franckowiak, Sandra Franckowiak, Ann (Don) Feidt and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Herbert Hardtke.
