Yvonne Raatz

January 6, 1932 — May 8, 2018

Yvonne (Vonnie) Mae Raatz (nee Kemmerling), 86, of Dousman, went home to be with our Lord on May 8, 2018. She was born January 6,1932, to the late Fred and Anna Kemmerling. On September 9th 1950 she married the love of her life Ernest Raatz at the First Congregational Church of Genesee. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage and raised three wonderful children before the passing of Ernest in 2008. Vonnie grew up on a farm and was proud of her farm heritage. She had a strong love for her country and a fondness for listing to music. In her spare time, to this day, she loved to read - especially mysteries. She was proud of her family and loved to spend her time with them and her beloved dog Topper. Yvonne was a loving and dedicated mother to Rita (Buzz) Kasten of Stone Lake, Wisconsin, Lorraine (Tom) Hughes of Helenville, Steve (Rose) Raatz of Watertown. She was a cherished Grandmother to Angela (Nate) Baum, Matthew (fiancé Heleyna) Kasten, Tim Kasten, Jacob (Ashley Hug) Raatz and Brittany Raatz; and an adoring Great-Grandma to Thomas, Jameson, Hannah, Ryan, Brayden, AJ and Taven. She is further survived by her brother Richard Kemmerling and sister-in-laws; Gloria Kemmerling and Karen Kemmerling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, her parents, brothers August (Gus), John, Gordy, Fritz and her sister Elsie Radtke. The family wishes to thank her friend and neighbor, Jerry Mehling. Thank you for your invigorating talks on politics and for always looking out for her. Yvonne will be lovingly missed. A private service will be held by close family. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
