Zona M. Beerbohm, 88, of Johnson Creek, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
Zona was born on May 21, 1937, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Ralph and Ione (Kusick) Kiefer. She married the love of her life Donald Beerbohm on July 1, 1989, and the couple enjoyed 36 wonderful years of marriage. Zona worked for the Watertown Unified School District until her “retirement”. After retirement, Zona & Donny lived in their motorhome for 12 years, traveled the United States, and worked as Workampers. Zona took pride in cleaning the campgrounds that they worked at and enjoyed being “activities director” planning crafts and games for the other campers. She worked hard, loved hard, and was always willing to help, leaving a mark on everyone she met. Zona was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek, WI. In her free time, she loved making quilts for Rainbow Hospice and had a passion for gardening and flowers. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Donald, children Clint Cutsforth, Juanita (James) Sell, Roger (Lisa) Cutsforth, grandchildren Callie Smillie, Patrick (Amy) Cutsforth, Andrew (Amanda) Cutsforth, Tyler Cutsforth, and Amber (Dalton Utz) Ziebell. She is further survived by a number of great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and niece.
A special thank you to her neighbors Mike & Shannon, the nurses at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center, and Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home for helping us through this very unexpected journey.
As her final gesture, to help others, she donated her entire body to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison.
